May 18 Prayer Vigil Event Schedule:

Open prayer time inside the Centre from 4-9pm.  A variety of "prayer points" will lead you through various prayer topics.  For example, you can tie fleece tie-blankets while praying for the foster child that will receive it upon coming in to care, you can pray over the photo of a child waiting for a forever family, you can pray over prayer requests from foster parents and agency staff, you can pray through scripture posted on the walls. 

Open prayer time OUTSIDE  from 4-6:30pm on the trails on Ridge Points property:  Walk along a posted section of the cross country trail, stopping at 'prayer points" to read the scripture and prayer topic suggestions which will focus you to pray over our children in foster care, children waiting for forever families, their caseworkers, their biological families, their foster families, etc.

Praise and Worship session will begin at 7pm. 

If you can't make it to the event, be sure to go on Facebook to the Orphan Ministry Alliance's page and pray there!  You will have to "like" the page before you will be able to post there. 

Week of May 2: Donation requests go out to Youth Group kids

Information should go out this week to all youth groups participating in the Vigil regarding donations for welcome bags and teen clothing items for Rick's Rack.

Sunday, May 9: Donation requests sent home with children's ministry kids

Churches planning to use the Foster Care Prayer Vigil Children's Ministry Activities should send home a donation request and "needs" list with their children's ministry kids.  These items will be brought in the following week, and prayed over as one of the activities.

Sunday, May 16: Prayer Vigil Activities for Children's Ministry (through 5th gr)

Participating churches may choose to use a set of Foster Care Prayer Vigil activities as their Sunday School programming for this week.  Watch this site for the packet, or contact Wendy Cheek for more information.

Tuesday, May 18: Foster Care Prayer Vigil

4-9pm: Prayer points and response boards will be set up indoors for individual and corporate prayer.  Talk with local foster care agency staff, drop off donations for foster care bags, leave prayer requests.
4-6:30: Optional prayer venue: Walk the trail at Ridge Point and pray at various prayer points along the way.
7pm: Live praise and worship begins.
